    About the Book:

This paperback edition combines Tom's best-selling Secret Guide, with fifty of his award winning essays originally penned for the Ithaca Times.

    5 Stars- Hilarious Satire
Whether you're a die-hard fan of the original novel, or haven't read it at all, Paolangeli's Secret Guide stands on its own merit and is an extremely entertaining read... and is sure to have you laughing at loud.

When you're a cup-a-Joe guy in a latte town, how do you cope with the constant pretension and absurdity? By becoming Central New York's Dave Barry! Humorist Tom Paolangeli has assembled 50 of his monthly columns from the Ithaca Times for your delight and edification. This collection's zesty ingredients will remind readers of a classic Prego tomato sauce commercial.

Tom Paolangeli is definitely Upstate's most entertaining humorist. Even if you have never lived in a remote college town, surrounded by ten square miles of reality, read this book. As the New York Press Association observed, you'll appreciate "the dose of common sense, and the laughs."

    Author of Bitter Greens

Tom M. Paolangeli was born in 1955 in Ithaca NY, and despite occasional forays into the real world, keeps getting sucked back there. From 2001 to 2010 he wrote an award winning column for the Ithaca Times, "Tom's Two Cents." He's raced and wrecked cars, played bass in rock and roll bands, and once owned a 1952 Greyhound bus. To pay the bills he has, among other things, sold Real Estate, marketed Industrial Gas Turbine pumps, edited bird sounds, and served as a bureaucrat in various government agencies. Unlike Kafka, this last role hasn't caused him to think about waking up as a cockroach. At least not yet...

In the summer of 2012 he published a short eBook called "A Guy's Secret Guide to Fifty Shades of Grey" which became the #1 best seller on the Kindle Humor/Parody list. Tom is happily married and they love living in the country with lots of trees and critters.
